Radical Ecoism
Let go of your ego.
See the whole and discover its interdependancy and changeability.
Egoistical thinking evaluates everything in terms of its own advantage and acts accordingly. Somebody that acts upon Ecoism, in contrast, is aware of being part of a bigger picture and therefore naturally involved in constant change. One takes on new perspectives and senses the interdependency in the entirety of the organization.
In recent decades, external experts have brought a more systemic view to organizations which has already led to multiple and new solutions to a diverse set of problems. Current challenges will only be mastered by inducing a new way of thinking that ingrains systemic thinking at the core of each and everyone’s thinking style within the organization.
We need to understand that every single action has an effect and impacts the whole thing. Internalizing the knowledge of being an important element of the overall relationship network is key to a growing collective intelligence; careless/unmindful organizational cultures do work against it. Ecoism comprehends the organization as an organism that is vivid and constantly changing. It is Ecoism’s fundamental mission to be a steadily learning organization that evolves daily in the totality of all pieces.
Ecoism must broaden the organization’s view to extend its systemic boundaries. It needs multiple perspectives, a vision beyond existing limitations, and further examination of the complex connection between organization and society, repeatedly asking ourselves the question: What is our contribution to the welfare of society? Radically.
That being said, corporations must develop new values that are proof of a radical shift in mindset – moving away from purely capitalistic striving and going back to the roots of consequent values first thinking.
